Hooper's Inlet

At the far end of Otago Peninsula lies this beloved place. It is a wide oval, of mildly tidal water. There are boathouses around its shores and various seabirds on its surface. At the seaward end is Allan's Beach, a place where you will find sea lions more often than not. There is a small pool where mother sea lions sometimes leave their young while they themselves are off fishing
